Song Translations
One of the biggest problems that we have found in the Spanish brotherhood is that there are not many translations out there in Spanish or there are not many new songs in Spanish at all. Another issue is that most congregations make their own translations without ever trying to see if there are others out there already. This has caused many songs to be translated more than once. This results in different congregations learning the same song but with different words and possibly different melodies, depending on who or how they learned it. We are trying to be a central place where people can contact us in hopes of looking for songs. More than likely, we will probably have it. In case we don't, we can translate it! if you ask us to translate a song, we will provide not only the translation, but the sheet music and an audio recording of it. We have translated classic English hymns, original songs from members of the church and alot of new praise songs.
What makes our translations unique is that we translate musically, not literally. We use the music itself as the guideline for translatiing. This may cause the meaning of the song to change a bit, but the basic idea will remain and it will be easy to follow with the music notes. We are currently the official translator for Hallal and are hoping to work with other popular English ministries in hopes of translating their original works for the use in the Spanish brotherhood.
